Abnormal type of Hijack
Has anyone see it use 50% of CPU?? I have a WinXP Pro system, updated using automatic Windows Update, running ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite which checks for both viruses and spyware weekly. Earlier this week I also updated SpyBot and LavaSoft AdAware Personal, and ran both of them. I'm behind a NAT router.

I have already gone to Internet options and changed the home page , but when i come out of explorer then back in again, www.search- space.com returns. I have tried to remove all traces of this URL in the registry, and have tried running Adaware and Spybot. Can anyone help me ???? Cheers, Mark.

Thanks. On MY system, it only takes up.... zero as much space as it used to. I dumped the intrusive thing too, on account of its beaucoup background service running all the time no matter what you do. It seems that now anytime I go online, I get a minimum of 8 or 10 new spyware hits. Consequently, I am continuously running adaware to clean my system. I am considering purchasing adaware plus which has real-time protection. Has anyone experienced any problems with this program using W2K? Also, is it effective?
